Question
I need advise about a situation I am dealing with with my almost 15 yo stepdaughter. She has been exhibiting very bad behavior over the last 1-2 years including lying, stealing, sneaking out, drugs, drinking, sex, credit card theft. She lives mostly with her mom and visits us every other weekend. Aside from these terrible actions she has a delightful personality. Most recently she stole $300 from my 17 yo daughter and shoplifted from a retail store while my daughter was telling her not to do it. I decided she is not to be alone in my home including while sleeping since she has stolen from our room while my husband was sleeping earlier this year. My husband thinks "kicking her out" is the wrong thing to do and she should be dealt with with love and punishments (none have not worked in the past). I feel like my kids and I are sitting duck victims of the mom's bad parenting and the kid's bad decisions. Please advise how I could/should handle this repeated bad behavior.
