Question
My twins are 7yo b/g and when they aren't bickering with each other, they're making the rest of family life miserable by attempting to boss their 12yo sister sister around, or us, or otherwise screaming and being brats. Both are strong willed, and tend to not listen (i.e., "stay in your room" means nothing, and they would climb over a dutch door). We have taken away anything electronic or fun, had them writing sentences, they are required to do chores and help around the house, and spanked as well if behavior gets truly awful. We do routine family dinners, teach and exhibit manners and respect, but we are getting nowhere it feels like. How do we get back on track? It feels too late for tickets, I don't feel comfortable spanking them repeatedly every day, and the "new" parenting of connection and what not and such doesn't feel right either.
