Leadership is an antidote for emotionality

Question

Our daughter, whom we have asked about before, is lying more often about small & big things, however we have noticed she pulls away from us and will hardly talk to us or open up. Whenever we suspect she has lied - for example I noticed something in her journal - which was laying out and open - asked her about it, she denied it adamantly. I don’t want to embarrass her and make her read it to us because she already won’t talk to us. How do we carefully protect her ability to talk to us as she matures while also creating a more repentant heart? She is almost 10 and is hitting puberty with lots of hormones and changes. She has accepted Jesus, I’m not sure where I lead her and where I trust the Holy Spirit to convict her. Thanks.
