Question
My 10-year-old daughter is insolent and disobedient at home, especially towards my husband, her stepfather for the past year ("you're not my father"). She doesn't like the new rules that have been put in place since I remarried. She does not accept her current bedtime (8pm) because my husband's teenage children can go to bed later. She cries and says it's unfair, despite explanations, she gets up several times... Her 8-year-old brother goes to bed at 7:45pm without complaining. She has a lot of free time in the evening because we have dinner at 5pm (light snack allowed later). She can go to bed later on weekends and for special occasions (for example her best friend's birthday which is next week). What should I do?
