Please excuse me - I am making a statement - YOU ROCK John Rosemond - I just read your column on boys playing video games . Well I was the Director for our parishes perschool. I had a little boy - 4 years old who was sullen, crabby and anti- social. He would just sit at a table and pout. I could not understand as he came from a happy 2 parent family. I talked to the Mom and guess what - he spent allot of time on the computer playing video games. This was 14 years ago before technology had totally invaded our life. But I was raised in a big family with out a TV. It was play outside and read, read, read! (My kids were raised the same except T V was allowed on weekends) So I told the Mom GET RID of the games, TV etc. - she unbelievably listened ( Mom really thought he was getting a leg up on his education.). And the little boy did a 180!! Happy social and very engaged! Problem solved!
