Question
I have a 3 year old boy and 6 year old girl. We just recently moved into a new home and they now share a room. We’ve been at the new house for approx 4 weeks now and bedtime is insane. I take them to bed around 6.30/7 and they don’t sleep sometimes till 10/10.30. They always chat, they run around, they read, I yell, I scream, I threaten, I spank, and then my son tells me he’s too scared to sleep alone and needs an adult in the room. By that time I feel every nerve in my body pulling me! I sit with him or I stay somewhere upstairs till he sleeps. I can’t seem to catch a break! Before the new house my son would sleep in my bed and my daughter would sleep in her own room on her own after reading a couple of books. I don’t know what to do. I’m going crazy. I just want them to hop into bed, kiss, cuddle at and sleep, no matter what we (mum and dad) are doing and no matter if we have friends over. Is that possible?
